What are the best spots to catch Pike?

What are the best spots to catch Pike on a river or lake? What sort of features should I look out for when Pike fishing? How do I know where Pike will be?

  Pike generally tend to sit in areas of cover and wait for their pray to swim past. Spots such as along side reads are excellent spots when fishing for Pike. Simply cast out and spin or waggle along side the reads, so that any pike waiting amoungst them will ready and in striking distance to take your bait!
